Bring the GEO CENTRE to your classroom.
Through the generous support of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and ExxonMobil, the Johnson GEO CENTRE has created a high quality teaching resource for the Newfoundland and Labrador Earth Systems 3209 high school course. The Johnson GEO CENTRE Earth Systems 3209 Edukit is currently in use in nineteen schools throughout the province.
This edukit covers a large number of Earth Systems 3209 curriculum outcomes, and consists of 5 binders which contain the bulk of the teaching material. Each binder contains a listing of the curriculum outcomes covered in each unit, information sheets and overheads, lesson plans, demonstrations and additional reference material. The edukit also contains a large selection of mineral samples, rock samples, manipulatives and posters. All lesson plans and activity sheets are included in digital format and hard copy.
For more information about the Earth Systems 3209 Edukit, please contact Andrea van Nostrand at (709) 737-7884, or email her at andrea.vannostrand@geocentre.ca.
