GEO Expeditions

Book your class for a 20 minute program combined with time to visit the exhibits. Our GEO Expeditions combine a curriculum-based worksheet with short presentation, and access to all of our exhibit galleries.

There are a variety of programs and tours to choose from, including:

 

The Whispering Rock

Did you know that rocks can tell a story? The key is knowing how to listen! Uncover clues with your Science Interpreter and reveal the ancient story told by our 550 million year old whispering rock.

 

Journey Through Space

Come and join us on a space adventure! Your Science Interpreter will lead you on an exploration of the outer reaches of our solar system wthout ever leaving Earth. Learn about Jupiter’s 300 year storm, and what the rings of Saturn are really made of…

 

GEO Explorations

GEO EXPLORATIONS will be curriculum based programs for grades 7, 8 and 9. These programs will be 1 ½ hours of educational, hands on programming offered Monday through Friday in the afternoon.

 

Grade 7 – Dynamic Earth

This program focuses on Unit 4 Chapter 11 of the Grade 7 curriculum – Earth’s Crust, and covers many of the outcomes of this section. This program is currently in development. More iinformation will be posted here soon.

 

Grade 8 – Oceans

(Coming in the near future) This program will focus on Unit 1 of the Grade 8 curriculum – Water Systems on Earth. More iinformation will be posted here soon.

 

Grade 9 – Space

(Coming in the near future) This program will focus on Unit 4 of the Grade 9 curriculum – Space Exploration. More information will be posted here soon.
