If you’re looking for something different, why not host your next party inside Signal Hill at the Johnson GEO CENTRE?
Our birthdays feature age appropriate games and programs for children ages 5 to 12 years old, with access to our exhibits and private party room.
Party Package:
Party games begin underneath the planets in our spacious Reception Hall as soon as your guests arrive. Once everyone has arrived, a birthday themed program delivered by one of our energetic science interpreters. We offer a choice of themes: Dinosaurs or Space!
Dinosaurs: These parties include the program Let’s Make Tracks, which will illustrate the various ways that different dinosaurs walked. Party goers will use foam feet and hands to make their very own Dinosaurs tracks which they can take home.
Space: These parties offer a choice between two programs: Journey Through Space and Junior Astronauts. The Journey Through Space program will focus on the planets that hang in our Reception Hall. Party guests will make paper telescopes to help in their exploration of the 8 major planets in our Solar System. Junior Astronauts will be trained using games and activities to become fully qualified GEO CENTRE Junior Astronauts and receive a certificate upon completion of training.
The science interpreter will then lead the party guests on a tour of the main exhibition halls, or our KIDZone for ages 7 and under. A group picture will be taken before the party guests return to party room.
3D Party Packages:
3D parties are available at the 2:00 pm time slot and include all the activities and programs offered in our regular party packages in addition to a 3D movie. The 3D movie is based on our offerings at the time of the party.
Facilities:
GEO Birthday Parties feature access to our private party room, located off our Reception Hall. The party room is set up and available to you 30 minutes prior to the start of your party if you wish to decorate.
Helium balloons are not permitted and sticky tack (not tape) must be used to secure decorations to the walls.
Unfortunatley, The GEO CENTRE does not provide food. However, cake and/or other food can be obtained from a licensed food establishment and brought in with no extra cost. You also have the option to order food from a restaurant and serve it in the party room. Party food ideas may include fruit and veggie trays, cheese and cracker trays, pizza and sandwich trays. If you wish to prepare your own food, a Food Liability Waiver Form must be signed prior to the day of the booking.
A freezer is available in the Interpretation Office if you require the short term storage of perishables (ice cream cake).
Party Loot Bags:
Loot bags are provided for all party guests. Bags include unique party theme items as well as a $2.00 off admission voucher for a future visit to the GEO CENTRE. The birthday child will receive a special party bag with a GEO CENTRE T-Shirt. Please provide your child’s shirt size when booking your party. If you have additional items that you wish to add to the Loot bags, you may bring them along and add them on the day of the party.
GEO Party Invitations are available if you wish to use them. You may arrange pick-up of invitations through the Interpretation Office.

Saturdays – 10:00am and 2:00pm
Sundays – 2:00pm
Parties have a duration of 2 hours. (3D Movie parties are only offered in the 2:00 pm time slot and will late up to 3 hours).
Group Size:
Minimum Group Size: 10 children.
Maximum Group Size: 24 children.

All additional adult party guests must register with the admissions desk before attending the party.
If an additional adult party guest fails to pay the $5.75 admission, the party organizer will have this cost billed to their credit card.
Booking Policy:
A credit card number is required at the time of booking to confirm your Birthday Party package and date. We accept VISA and MASTERCARD only.
Failure to provide 48 hours notice of cancellation will result in a $50.00 cancellation fee billed to your credit card.
Please inform us of any changes to your booking as soon as possible.
