There’s no better way to make the most of your trip to the GEO CENTRE than joining in one of our interpretive programs. Running approximately 20 minutes, they’re offered throughout the day during the summer months.

The Whispering Rock
Did you know that rocks can tell a story? The key is knowing how to listen! Uncover clues with your Science Interpreter and reveal the ancient story told by our 550 million year old whispering rock.
Journey Through Space
Come and join us on a space adventure! Your Science Interpreter will lead you on an exploration of the outer reaches of our solar system without ever leaving Earth. Learn about Jupiter’s 300 year storm, and what the rings of Saturn are really made of…
Waves of Tragedy
Over 80 years ago, a rare geological event caused a tsunami to hit the shores of the Burin Peninsula, resulting in the loss of 29 lives. Learn of the tragedy as your Science Interpreter shares stories of the events of November 18th, 1929.
Buried In Ice
From glaciers to icebergs… Discover how glaciers form, icebergs are born, and how mariners try to prevent these beautiful giants of the ocean from wreaking havoc on those who make their living at sea.
Curious Constellations
Have you ever wondered about the star and constellations of St. John’s. Join one of our Science Interpreters to explore star origins, planets, and the sky 100 000 years into the future.
