The Johnson GEO CENTRE is world famous for our exhibits and the stories they tell. However, perhaps our least known features are the Public Lectures that we host from time to time. When you want to step past the regular displays and exhibits and dig into some really in-depth information, this is the place to be.
Perhaps you’ll find a talk explaining how the human body reacts to being in space, and how the astronauts’ health is managed. Or maybe a speaker will present Newfoundland’s Ediacaran fossils — apparently we’ve got some of the best localities in the world. Or it could be a talk on the geological stories waiting to be found right here in this province. You never know what the next topic will be, but you can always be sure it will be fascinating, in-depth, and presented by someone who knows how to make it all come alive.
Watch this space for news of our next Public Lecture, or better yet, subscribe to GEO News. We look forward to seeing you here!
