Join us for STEAM Quest, our online Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics educational camp, where campers will explore the wonderful worlds of science and the great outdoors! Although we need to be physically distant, we can still be together socially, and learn together about this amazing planet of ours!
Please note: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts on university operations, in-person summer camps will not be available at the centre this summer. Instead, we are partnering with our sister organization, the MUN Botanical Garden, to bring you a brand-new virtual summer camp, STEAM Quest!
What you can expect: In this camp, you child will receive five days of activities and adventures galore! Live, online sessions will run from 10am-12pm, two hours a day, during which you, the parent, can have uninterrupted time to work. Then, in the afternoon, campers will be given an activity challenge, encouraging them to play and explore outside, to ensure that screen time will not dominate their entire days. Near the end of the day, at 3pm, campers will be invited back to a short 30-minute live session, where they can share their days with their fellow campers. At this time of physical distancing, sharing stories and having social time is so important, especially for young minds. Campers will have multiple opportunities in the day to talk to and make friends with others.
We are also offering a camp session in French! Topics covered will be the same as those in English.
Registration opens on June 10th. $50 per child, per week. Space is limited, so be sure to register early! Save 10% as a family season pass holder or Geo member.
Please visit our Camp Registration page to register your child for one of our camps. No refunds or exchanges will be issued.
This program is funded in part by the Government of Canada, through the Young Canada Works employment program.
